password mess up

    I have a Toshiba laptop that is USED. it has Windows VISTA in it. when I turn it on, before it gets to the windows screen,it ask for a password. How do I get to the Windows screen. This is driving me crazy!!!!! PLEASE HELP!! :cry:cry:cry:cry:cry:cry

    This sounds like a BIOS/CMOS password which is typically cleared by removing the battery/jumper on desktops. That's going to be harder to do on a laptop as those aren't as easy to access as a desktop.

    We would need to know the exact model of laptop to determine the process of resetting the BIOS password.

    Type in Toshiba and see if it will let you reset the BIOS password.
