I let other employees use my company laptop to check e-mail and etc. and I have some files in a personal folder that I prefer to keep private.

Is there a way to password protect a folder in XP Pro?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, This option is only available for your folder if the folder is located in your user profile my documents, desktop, start menu, and favorites.

Your log on requires a password.

Locate your folder right click on it and choose properties click the sharing tab and click in the Make this folder private box. Your folder will be private and/or require a password to open. You should consider a guest log on for others just wanting to check email etc.
