Paste Not Working In Notepad Windows 10

I have been trying all day to solve this problem. When I open Notepad I can copy but the paste facility is missing when I try to copy to another Notepad I have previously created. The paste button is greyed out.
So far I have installed the latest updates, restarted, rebooted and tried admin tools and file commands suggested on the web. The problem seems to be Notepad itself as I opened a new Notepad,typed a sentence and tried to paste it as a test further down the same Notepad but it wouldn't work - still greyed out. This seems to have happened only within the last few days. Any other suggestions to fix anyone?

Yes Ive tried this as well as just paste but no joy.

 

Have you installed any encryption software like MyWinLocker?

 

Copy / paste work anywhere else? IE, Word, Notepad++... anywhere?

 

Hi folks and thanks for all your replies. For some weird reason Notepad paste has decided to make a re-appearance today. Just hope that its not going to keep disappearing.
