Path access problem to e-drive

I have been running an external e-drive to store music recoding data and other documents. Recently the e-drive was removed before switching it off and now I am unable to browse around the said drive. The properties show that the "used" space is still there and I can still access certain files from my start menu but otherwise my usual, my computer/e-drive/folders access is unobtainable.

Thanks for the reply yes . The e-drive shows itself as containing one file namely "Limewire" although the properteies show about 1/3 of the drive as used which is my music files mainly
