PC cleaning

    How and when should a PC be cleaned? Last time I opened the case, the components were all clean but there was a lot of dust on the fan.

    I personally think every 6 months the side cover should be pulled and look and see, a lot of people use compressed air but i prefer a small shop vac with the soft brush on the hose, the brush loosens the dust and dirt and the vac takes it away, where the air will push the dirt into places you will never get to. ed

    Just did mine this morning, took off heatsink fan and all other case fans, I use a soft paint brush and a very large strong suction hoover.. I check once a month at least. IMHO :)

    I suppose once a month would be better, but heck most people cant remember to defrag once a month. lol. ed
