pc drags

I have been through all of the scans, yes all
I analized logs and looked for anything odd
an nothing

the past couple weeks we have had a "guest" in the house
and ever since my pc is slow, and my browers and other apps stop responding
I even have a hard time opening the task manager

I have enough free space that everthig should run smoothly. .I am just at a loss

 

• Download HijackThis 1.99.1

• Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

like I said myself, i am at a loss

chas,
I have freed up at least 20% of my hard drive
and tried microsofts spyware thing
its big, but not that big
and its giant antispy all over again

thats all that has changed in the few weeks (that I know) since then

 

no change
took me a very long time to get ff working, properly
I am in safe mode now and still it wont respond
Ie locks up alot
as well

Im gonna look at some other antispyware options and antivirus as well
couldnt hurt. . .

 

spysweeper was big but not hogging, i got rid of it(shareware)
neat program

i dont know why i am running spywareblaster on startup
it never hurt anything before, and it saves me time
if it is not wise ,then I will not

CCleaner is my God and SBS&D tools help as well
some how I ended up loosing the ability to control SMC firewall
and the tray ico. .vanished. .it said it was running but . I dont get prompted at start up(as I did)and I cant end its process access is denied

this may be a software,os issue, perhaps?

 

I ended up doing that with sygate(un-reinstall to default)
and i removed spywareblaser form start up(it just mad it easier fo me to remember tocheck for updates,thats all)
im ok now, thanks . sorry for buggn ya. on this

but every time I hit a srcipt on firefox(if I where to pm you. . .ff would stop responding) it taks a dump(four actually)
