PC freezing for a moment, then reopening the game

    I Have been playing games on this computer for a long time now and this has never happened before.

    Here's what happens: I am playing, all of a sudden the game stops and freezes and the audio buzzes, then the screen goes black for a moment and the game reloads at the pause screen this has happened for dead space 2 and borderlands and I ave no idea how to fix it please help :(

    Hi and welcome :)

    Please download This

    Record your idle GPU and CPU temperatures, then...
    Run your game for a few minutes and then minimize and record "GPU" and "CPU" temperatures.

    Also make sure your graphics drivers are up to date.

    Please post your system specifications and operating system.
    Also post your findings on the temperatures.

    And we'll go from there :)

    Does the computer have the correct specs to run.

    What kinda CPU do you have
    How much ram do you have
    And what windows are you running.

    I would also disable any security software you have installed and see if the games work ok.

    What Security Software do you have installed, please name all?
    Have you installed any new software just before this started to happen and if so what?
