PC hangs when watching videos

When ever i`m watching a video from a browser (ex. youtube) [not with wmp] the pc will jam at random moments. At first the PC jams but i can still hear the sound and move the mouse, use num lock etc.., then once i press ctrl-alt-delete or alt-tab the PC becomes totally unresponsive.
I`m using a fully updated firefox 4 (used to happen with firefox 3)
Windows 7 Ultimate, GPU is EVGA 460gtx factory superclocked 1Gb

Any help?

Hi

Do you have your Windows 7 fully upto date?

Do you have your Adobe Flash Player fully upto date also, if not then download and install the lastest version HERE and HERE (this one is for Firefox and Opera users)

As you use Firefox for your main browser is the issue the same in IE and what is your IE version?

Other steps are what is your internet service speed and is it stable, say with other sites or downloads or large sizes, can do a speedtest HERE and check your speed.

Do some cleanup with say Ccleaner and clear out your temp files etc

Disable your security applications and try again and see if the videos play ok.

That reads like a video card driver has gone into a loop and Windows is trying to recover, possibly by trying to revert to the default gfx driver. Do you see any flashes on screen?

Can you save the System log in the default format, zip and attach it please?
