Pc Is What Was Great For Win 7 Useless For Win 10 ?

Hi,
same hardware, simply removed the win7 64bit pro C drive SSD, new SSD and install win 10 64bit pro.
Do a file search *.3dm on a usb_HDD_019 and takes 7 minuts approx, same search on same usb before would be 50 secs approx.
I get told by a Msoft techie PC spec not enough.

Its CPU i7 4790 3.6 GHz
32Mb Vengeance Pro DDR Ram

should I just go back to win 7 as I cant have PC performing 7 x as slow !
No money at all for a rebuild .

Is tech man right ?

4 days trying to get win10 operational on basics of explorer window, folders that dont show they are open, desktop icons that dont have contrasting show up squares, no scroll bars, borders, crap interface, massive disappointment so far visually, then its terribly slow searching, does not bode well for CAD and video progs I use.

I personally see no reason why a 4 core, 8 thread 3.6GHz CPU is not enough. I have installed 10 on dual core machines that worked good enough for office use. I would check and make sure all your drivers are installed, chipset, and GPU would be big ones to make sure are correct. Generic windows drivers do work, but can and do make it slow. Just my two cents.
