An ad from a software company wants me to download their "PC Keeper" which they claim will cure any ills Win 7 might have. They come with the usual endorsements (PC World, MS partner, etc).
Anyone know this outfit or program?

If its not hosted on MG's, I wouldn't bother with it. :major

In fact, it is considered by many as malware.

Hey Sarge, there actually is a legit Microsoft Partner program, but most of the Microsoft Partner that you see from these snake oil companies is just a scam, and they try to get you to believe their software is Microsoft approved. TimW has given you the best advice.

Legitimate companies do not need to resort to popups to advertise. Word of mouth about good products. Is enough to get a following.

    Run away from this.

If you saw the popup on your computer, then you should be using blockers to stop this action.
