PC keeps restarting when logged into windows

Hi, this is my first post and not sure whether it is in the right section, if not then apologies.

My home PC keeps restarting itself when i let it load up into windows, it logs in, comes up with an error box, the one where you are given the option to send a report or dont send, and as soon as it comes up it restarts, so I have no time to do anything, as it just restarts, I left the computer on yesterday and it repeated this process for 4 hours, so I just turned it of

I tried to start it up in safe mode, but when I get the options on the screen where you are prompted to either start in normal or safe mode, my keyboard wont let me move up or down if I try to use the arrow keys, and I can't use the number ones

Don't have any music downloaders or anything like that, just the net, MSN and games I have installed from disc

Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance for any help

Well for this problem, I can think of a couple different approaches. I've had this happen before too. Find a regular non usb keyboard and hook it up to your computer. More than likely this is the cause for not being able to move up and down. Move down to where it says disable automatic reboot on system failure and press enter. The computer will boot up but it will not reboot, instead it will display the error message. Then post what the error message was.

Another alternative is to just do a repair install. It'll repair all the windows components without deleting your data.

And finally you could format and re-install. You lose everything, but at least your computer will be fixed.
