pc keeps shutting off

    Hello,

    My computer keeps shutting down itself when im playing games. It is really annoying it just shuts itself off without no warning asif somebody pulled the plug. it only happens when i play games.

    The games cause it to overheat and it shuts down to protect the CPU.
    Have you cleaned out the inside? Checked to see that the fans all work? Maybe apply fresh thermal paste between the chip and the heat sink.

    I agree with cleaning the interior of heat trapping dust and ensuring all the fans are working. TIM (thermal interface material) does not go bad or wear out - UNLESS the cured bond between the mating surfaces is broken.

    Gaming is about the most demanding task we can ask of our computers. It taxes cooling and power resources.

    Did these same games used to work fine?
