    Hello
I was having problems with MSI Wind Top AE2010 overheating so I cleaned the fan. and reseated the cpu. and when I put it all back together I got PC No Signal. no power lights on the side. So I to it back apart and noticed a few of the prongs on the CPU bend. Do I need a new CPU or Mobo? and is there a difference between a touchscreen MOO and a normal one?

    thanks

I have managed to straighten the prongs but it is a delicate operation and you have to be very careful not to break any of them because that is a new Mobo.

I've taken the lead out of a 0.5mm mechanical pencil and used that to straighten pins. I haven't had any pins to straighten since a socket 478 P4 off of ebay arrived with a couple of them just bent enough to prevent it from dropping into the socket about 2 years ago though.

That said, if they're all bent over at right angles, good luck getting them all back to straight without one of them breaking off. IC pins don't offer much in the way of fatigue resistance. One could conceivably straighten a pin successfully only to have it break off in the socket.
