after shutting down my computer this morning, i come home to find it on, but running very quietly.. i turned on the monitor but no display, no lights on keyboard, power button unresponsive.

Turned off at the back of the PSU, when turning back on the system will partially start by itsself immediatly, or after 10-20 seconds.

by partially i mean the mainboard power LED is lit, case&cpu fans running very slowly, hard drives spinning but not active. power button on front of PC totally unresponsive.

Im hoping this problem can be fixed?
Otherwise, how would I go about recovering my RAID0 array?

    Any help will be appreciated.

Could be a power supply problem. If you have an extra (or have a friend with an extra) hook it up and see what happens. To be safe you may want to disconnect both the data and power cables from the hard drive(s) to prevent any possible damage or data loss.

BTW- in any case, a 450w PSU seems a bit under powered for your system. I'd go with 600w minimum and look for dual 12v rails with high amp ratings.... SLI setups should always have a strong PSU ;)

Check and see if the fan in the power supply is running, I have seen pc's do this when the connecters from the psu are not making good contact at the mother board connecter. You might want to unplug system, follow the main wires to the biggest connecter on the mother board and unplug and see if any pins are burnt looking, plug back in and see if it will boot. ed Welcome to MajorGeeks

Problem is fixed, was indeed the PSU. PSU works fine in a lesser machine so i guess it developed a fault or so?

Anyhow, replaced with a Coolermaster 850W Real Power Pro.

Will start new topic for unrelated problem. Thx guys
