Pc Not Booting Into Win10 After Shutdown, I Think Bios Was Reset And Isn't Recognizing Ssd

I have a PC with Windows 10, 2 hard drives for storage, and one SSD that Windows is installed on.

There was a big storm coming in my area, so I unplugged the computer. It was not hit with a power surge or anything. I plugged it back in about 2 hours later and started it up. A few seconds into startup a message I've never seen before came up on the black screen that listed my 2 hard drives and my blu ray drive, but not the SSD. The message said something about being reset to default settings or words to that effect. I thought what the hell is this? I thought maybe it meant the drives were reset because it wasn't specific as to what it was referring to.

I had to click a key to reboot and on reboot it basically says there's nothing to boot from and I need to enter media or choose a boot device in the BIOS. I went into the BIOS and it was showing the date as 2014. I am assuming (but don't know for a fact) that the BIOS is what got reset to default settings.

I tried to select my SSD as the default boot option but the BIOS doesn't detect it. The 3 drives it does show being plugged in are my 2 storage drives and my blu-ray drive. If I exit the BIOS by hitting F11, it will reboot and bring up a screen asking me what I want to boot from. Those 3 I mentioned are the only choices. No SSD is listed.

I am not sure what to do. From what I've read, a random BIOS reset could be due to a bad motherboard battery. But is putting in a new battery going to make it detect my SSD?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

EDIT: I put this in hardware on the assumption it's a battery/motherboard issue, but apologies if it should be in software.

So I ran a BIOS update and it booted straight into Windows. I am assuming the battery is bad, caused the BIOS to reset when unplugged, and the factory settings BIOS can't recognize the SSD I have Windows on. Updating BIOS fixes it but the battery still needs replacing.
