PC only works in SAFE MODE

Hey..sorry if I post this on the wrong topic but I don't know very much about PC's. All happend yesterday, when I was simply watching a video..my Pc froze, I tried to go to the task manager but I couldn't..so I simply restarted it. NOW the thing is that the windows is loading slower than it used to...and when it finally does , only my desktop background appears..with the taskbar , it's like the PC is overheated or something and I can't do anything. I've tried a system recovery...from like 3 days ago , but it didn't helped. I've also scanned for some viruses but nothing was found. I've tried to uninstall my video card driver in safe mode..but yet again I still have the problem ! Also,don't know if this means anything but when I shutdown my pc the numlock light is on. Help me out guys..please ! Thanks in advance

1. What is the make and model of the computer?
2. What version of windows are you running?
3. Does the problem continue to occur in safe mode?

 

Thanks Collins for explaining what periods are. I often hear people in movies say something and finish the sentence with the word period and wondered why. I now know it means full stop. I honestly didnt know that.:-o

I often finish a sentence with a few full stops to make a kind of point about something but I know now not to but understand why.

Hello guys,sorry for the late reply. Somehow I made it work back then by using msconfig and disabling some stuff. But the problem started again today,and this time disabling the things from msconfig does not help at all. I have a AMD athlon 64 Processor 3000+ 1.81 Ghz and 2gb ram. My OS is windows 7 32 bits. Safe mode seems to work fine. But when I try to go to normal mode..it gets past "Windows" the pictures appear, it makes a sound like..when I plug in a USB..or something like that, and when I try to open a file..or simply browse on the internet...it freezes.
