PC Pitstop optimizer--Worth it?

I have been having problems for a few weeks with my DSL speed.
I have SBCYahooDSL and the throughput is only 38kbps. and sometimes as low as 9kbps. I have tried to reboot and turning off the modem to reset, tec. This used to work when things slowed up but no longer.
SBC recommended a couple test sites to test speed. One was PC Pitstop.
They have a free optimizer review. After running it they said i had 91 things wrong with my registry and 10 other things they would change to increase my speed dramatically. Of course they wanted $30 for this.
Anyone know about this site? Is it worth it for this? Can I get something similar at a retail store for less?
