You could also go to the main page of MG and go through the different listings. They tell if able to run on Vista.

Check out this link for Spyware freebies. http://www.majorgeeks.com/page.php?id=20

Malwarebytes-Antimalware is free for on demand scanning, so is SuperAntispyware. These need to be manually updated. Then there is SpywareBlaster which prevents malware (e.g. active X)from being installed in the machine.

Ok, I have just another ? or 2 lol. I went and read the sticky to get everyones opinions and I was looking at, Comodo Internet Security Suite, that seems to cover the firewall and virus protection. I like that a 2-for. If I choose that do you think that Spybot S&D would work along with Comodo?
Also, let me ask, do you think it is resource hungry as I'm looking for something differnt than what I am using also.
    Thanks,
    Dee

Its always wise to password protect your Bios as well. While I have never seen it myself, It does go in cycles, and there is a virus that will go after the bios itself.

They claim it makes changes to the bios and almost impossible to get rid off. So password protect your Bios and the virus if gotten can make no changes and becomes useless. It installs a rootkit onto the bios that anti virus and spyware will never catch. They say the best way to protect the bios is a password with all numbers and no letters.

One last thing. Go get yourself a really decent surge progector and not some cheep one from wal-mart or whatever. A 20 dollar investment from newegg would of saved my Cpu, video card, and Ram. I learned that lesson the hard way. On the bright side my computer is up to date and super fast.
