I just got this win 7 pc and it will read some cd's but wouldn't read my movies or a game cd. I used the nero info tool and have attached the results but I don't know what it means. My question is, is something wrong or does this computer just not read all types??

DVD/CD Optical drives are pretty inexpensive these days. Unless your computer is a small form factor or some other size restriction exists you can pick up a good, new optical drive from Best Buy, Fry's, or online at such places as NewEgg. A standard optical drive is easy to switch out.

If your "PC" is a laptop or uses a laptop slim form factor optical drive, those are available also, but are a bit more expensive and sometimes a bit more involved to install. If you aren't comfortable with nuts and bolts work on your computer, you can consider an external optical drive that connects by USB. NewEgg has a refurbished Lenovo USB DVD drive for about $25.00 US.

No. That is not Speccy. That is just the screen that anyone's screen shows when they right click and select properties of the computer.

One important note about Speccy is that it publishes your Product Key(s) in it's report. You need to delete that/those from the report before you post it here to prevent an unscrupulous person from using your Product Key(s) to activate an illegal copy of Windows/Software and create major headaches for you.

Basically, the only thing I need to see is the section on Optical Drives where it lists the actual model number.
    It looks like this

I need to know the name in blue. Since your computer is a Joy System, it is a refurb so we have no idea what hardware is in it, hence the need for the Speccy section on the optical drive.
