PC restarts during virus scan.

Hello,
-just upgraded from 'Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal' to 'Antivirus Personal Pro' -I'm trying to run my first 'full scan' -it first asks for a password for the archived Spybot Search&Destroy files (I tell it to ignore the archive because I have no clue whatthe password would be -and I figure it's safe anyway) -then at around 22% completion of the A/V scan my PC just reboots. -No error, no warning: she just restarts.(?)
Any idea what's going on here? -or any troubleshooting suggestions?

Have you previously removed any spyware/virus infections?

 

Thanks for the reply: No, I don't recall recently removing any spyware or viruses -The biggest change to my system lately has been the instalation of the Kasp.A/V Pers. Pro.

Try booting into Safe Mode and running the scan, see if you get the same results.
