Pc Shutdown

    Hi,

    I'm using register-mechanic and Smartmovie. When starting up one of these two, after a little while the pc turns off by itself.

    This problem is only occuring with these two programmes and occured after a official update from Xp.

    Anybody has an idee?????

    Have you checked your temps in BIOS when restarting?!? Either of these programs may be heating your CPU uptil the Cut-Off temp setup in your BIOS. Mine is 85C and cutoff today because I hadn't plugged the CPU fan in firmly, restarted and noted no RPM for CPU fan in PC Health section in BIOS and temp was 82C. Quickly fixed though.
