Hi, for 2 or 3 days, when i turn my computer on, there is an update. Everything seems normal, and 30 sec after, I get a blue screen that tells me a problem has been detected and that my pc has to shut down.
Everytime I have to go on safe mode and to restore my system, can you help me please? Thanks :)

Hmm, there were a lot of Windows and MS updates this week.

Perhaps you should manually run the needed updates for your PC - but install them singly, creating a new Restore Point before each one. When you hit the problematic one, shout out again, we'll try to walk you through finding where the problem lies and work on a fix for it.

    Ne rien ^.^

Hmm ... so it looks like a bug, I'll try to find a fix.

EDIT: Which Service Pack is your Vista at?

Ok, having the latest SP should rule out some possibilities :).

Click Start and in the Search Box type %windir%\windowsupdate.log, and then hit the ENTER key. This should open the Windows Update logfile in Notepad, copy the entries from the last week and paste them into a new Notepad and save it to your Desktop. Zip it and attach the zip file to your next reply please.

Agree with satrow, a rather large update this time round for Vista! And a lot of them security related. So go with installing them one at a time. Here's a screen shot of the update received and installed on this Tablet lately. The second shot- configuring, what you want to to install.

    Cheers..

Try leaving your laptop on and connected to the 'net overnight, disable Sleep and Hibernation temporarily. See this, about 4 lines above the bottom of text2:-

Sorry I don't really understand :confused
Must I leave my computer turned on during this night?

Yes, but last night was the scheduled time/date.

Maybe there is a new log with more details now?

This MS tool might fix your Update problem. It is slow, maybe taking 1 hour to run. Sometimes it will look like it's 'stuck' for a long time, allow it to finish.

(I used it a few hours ago to fix an Update that kept failing on my PC.)

Finally it was because of a virus, themida I think. But thank you everyone for your help.

Themida is a piece of software that allows software creators to try to protect their software against being 'cracked' or reverse engineered, it's not malicious in itself.

Unfortunately, it's also been used by malware creators to prevent their trojans from being detected rapidly :(
