pc will not post

I recently changed my motherboard but now my pc wont post. I hooked up the pc speaker and it no beeps at all. So any ideas on why it wont post. All fans come and such. I think i have checked all the connectors. I hope i did not break something and now i am starting to get worried.

 

i got a bad motherbard. Just herd a loud pop. Shit i hope nothingelse is broken.

 

All is ok. Put in old motherboard and now pc will post.

 

Were the MOBO standoffs in the correct position? when they are not this usually causes a shorting condition, systoms will include not Posting and even poping noise....

 

Yep they were correctly in the right place. I just RMA'd the board today.

 

I read your post with interest and not knowing your case I went and did a search , thought this link may be of some assistance for the future, hope you dont mind me pointing this out
