I have HP Media Center PC m7160n Running window xp media center 2005 2gigs of memory. The green light on the power supply flashes on and off what does that mean. The light used to be always on. Now it won't turn on.

Sounds like to me that your power supply in your computer has died is it a desktop or a laptop.

yeah sounds like either your power supply has died in your desktop i would suggest changing that if that don't solve problem then you might be looking at possible mobo failure which in case new mobo with cpu.

i would try changing the power cord, may seem kindof strange, but i had the same problem in an emachines and it worked. hope it helps.

  7. Check the fuse in the plug, try another plug, do you get any lights on the machine at all or is it completly dead as a stone?

Along with others I would put my money on it being the power supply.
