It should be fine if all the updates will download and integrate into your application. As I don't use this program, I can't be certain of the results, but remember that you have a 2002 version, and it is now 2005. Another thing to check for is whether or not this is a trial version that only lasts for 90 days or so.

If all the above checks out, carry on! If it doesn't, then download one of the freeware antivirus apps from the download page on MajorGeeks. I an a reformed Norton's user that currently uses Avast, and am very pleased with it.

my 2 cents worth. I have PC-cillin (2005) and really like it. I actually have PC-cillin security (with firewall). Never a prob and not a resource hog. I used to be Pro-NAV before I realized how bad it is IMO. However, at this time I am not sure whether I will renew PC-cillin or not. I also have AVG (anti-virus) and Kerio (firewall). I also have Ad-aware/cCleaner/a-squared....plus Freemem. All play well together. At some time before PC-cillin needs renewed I will disable it and see if the others (all free) will do the job. I believe they will. One other thing I gleaned from a thread on this site..........I use Firefox exclusively for my browser and read about config'ing it to increase the browsing speed. I did, and it does. Another "atta-boy" for MG. This is one website that I can't do without.

I started with PC2002 as you have, as it came with my Asus board. I have upgraded each year to stay current. I am running Trend Micro Internet Security 2004, and will look to move to the 2005 version when my updates subscription expires. With all of todays threats, I feel its best to stay as current as you can, and run several layers of protection. Look at running Spyware Guard, Spyware Blaster, Ad-Aware SE, Spybot, etc. They all work well together to cover your 6 as best as possible. I also avail myself of the various free virus checkers and cleaners on line just to see that Trend is keeping up. I find Panda Active Scan a good one that also will fix anything it finds. Their are many others. Remember in the treat business, everything is reactive. They try to be proactive as they can by looking for code that is suspicious, but things get through none the less. You can never have enough protection.
