My current motherboard has an agp video slot. I want to upgrade my current video card (geforce 6800 ultra). Most all the new video cards recommended for newer games are pci-e cards. Do I have to upgrade my mobo or is there hardware I can add to my current mobo the adds the pci-e slot?
    Thanks

You need to replace your motherboard if you want to use a PCI Express video card.

you can get an x1950XT for under $200 if u wanna keep your current system alive and kickin'

it's still a powerhouse, just no DX10 support

I just ordered an geforce 7950 gt. That should hold me over until I rebuild my computer and get a dx 10 system someday.

just hope it doesnt crap out on ya, the AGP 7950GT's have a tendancy to do that a lot. they are crazy fast when they work though

Hadn't heard that..all the reviews I read say they are pretty good..my current 6800 ultra has worked great until I got Medal of Honor Airborne...It overheats and shuts down..only game that does that...I get the weird graphics then black screen and shut down.
I have several fans in my case, but must still be overheating. Unless the card is slowly dying
