Its coming out in two flavours, PCI Express for regular cards, and PCI Express 16x , for graphics cards.. both have higher bandwith than their older counterparts (PCI, and 8x AGP)

    cheers

No vid card so far has better peformance over AGP8x counterpart though; so don't hold your breath.

At the moment they aren't faster, but it won't be that long though until they are.

It's like any new technology, it needs a while to mature, and I wouldn't adopt anything new until it's been around for a while.

When Pentium 4's first came out they were slow, but several generations later they improved dramatically.

The same will happen with technologies like PCI Express and Serial ATA etc.

Kind of like buying volcanoe insurance for one that will come in 20years down the road or somthing? I rather have somthing now thats better then out of the baby crib technology vs 2 years down the line improvement.
