I have an older computer and am looking at getting a new Video Card. Most Video cards are PCI express and I am not sure what my computer has. How do I know if i have PCI express slots and is there really a difference so I couldn't run a new card. My computer model is a Sony Vaio PCV-RX470DS.

go for AGP, the best card u can get for PCI is an FX5500 which really sucks. A 6600gt would be good for a budget card

probably you have a agp slot, so go for agp, i have a x1600pro now, i got it for 150€/$ so it is not that expensive and is a real improvement.

but if you want a real improvement, and want to fully enjoy of your new graphics card, buy a new pc
