pci serial controller

    Trying to install a modem on windows 98 it will not work. so I looked at device manager and it said the drivers for PCI serial controller were not installed, does this have any affect on my modem if so where can I get drivers fom, if not why wont my modem instal ( can someone run me through installation of modem and drivers for windows 98 please)
