PCI Simple Communications Controller

I have been having the exact same problem (except that i do want to get the internal modem to dial up). I know the correct driver will solve the problem coz i had solved it before. when i first rebuilt this old PC i put Win98SE on, 3 drivers were missing, after a long search i did manage to find the 3 drivers on driversguide.com (the modem one was the hardest to find, HSP something micromodem. then when i upgraded it to ME, had to repeat the process. recently i've added more RAM to it now i can upgrade it to XP Pro. the trouble is that i have a problem with the modem again. this is just the last driver i need. the error i'm getting is "PCI Simple Communications Controller" even tho it's the modem driver problem. the ones that i found for 98 n ME just will not work on XP.
i need to find the equivalent of this driver which only works for Win98

managed to find the XP version refused to post it on the forum

there r so many PC tel modem drivers at Drivers Guide downloading it by trial n error is taking forever on a dial up line.
