hi, ive been having this problem, that whenever i try to start up my windows xp home edition it says "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: System32\DRIVERS\pci.sys"

ive tried to copy the pci.sys from a working computer, to a usb 2.0 flashdrive, but, it still gives me the same error.

i used a windows xp cd and tried to get to the repair consol, but it doesnt recognize my harddrive because i have a S-ATA harddrive. ive been through many forums and then tell me to use the repair consol which doesnt work for me.

i can get any Windows Xp version, just let me know which one to get, for my computer to work

ive got 11gig's of music on that computer, if i loose them all, ill bawl my eyes out, its already a pain in the ass, that i am not limited to the music on my cd player.....well enough of my sulking

    help me please!!
