    Hello,

I'm having troubles installing my Card Bus 11Mbps Wireless LAN Card onto my Dell CPX650GT laptop.

When I insert the card into the PCMCIA slot (either, top or bottom doesn't matter which) the power light does not turn on. Are there any reasons why this might be the case? Software clashes etc?

The card works on my friends similar laptop. and the device manager seems to think the PCMCIA drives are fine

I tried updating the BIOS, but that has not fixed the problem.

    I am Running XP sp2

    Thanks in advance for helping.

The pci slots are enabled in the bios? But the device is not recognised in device manager? (Just trying to keep this old mind clear ....:) :) )
(BTW ...my nic card doesn't light up until the cable is plugged into it...)
