    Hi there
I have an old Toshiba 780DVD laptop, 266mhz with uprated 192 ram. I am now running windows xp with service pack 2. Everything runs well except I can't get my belkin usb wifi adapter to work and I can't unistall the program???

So I have bought a Linksys pcmia wifi card wap54g hoping that would work. (It is meant to run on a 200mhz+ machine). The software loads ok, but it doesn't recognise the card being inserted when requested.
The slot works fine, because my old psion dial up card works. The Linksys card works fine in a friend's machine.
I have already upgraded the bios to version 8, but to effect.
Si in a nut shell I am stumped...is PeterParker or anyone out there with any ideas...thanks!!!
