PCX runs at only 8x??

Hey guys

Hope u can help with this one, been bugging me for a while.
I recently built a new PC as follows:

Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
AMD64 3200+ Winchester
2x512 G.Skill PC3200 Dual series
Point of view 6800 Ultra PCX
400 W North Q Super Silent ATX PSU

The thing is that my GFX only runs at 8x speed and I cant quit figure out how to get it up to 16x.
The little card on mobo is flipped to single card. Must be something in bios, just cant find it.

it wont make any difference to performance,its still faster than agp x8 and thats has enough banwidth for any of the lastest cards.I dont have a pci-e board yet so I wouldn't know how to get it to 16,BTW welcome to MG.

Nope, BFV (online), in EVO clan now, and about the fps, can never figure out wich value to read, but its a bit diff. from map to map, from 1xx something up to close to 200 i think. At least everything is at highest setting and it runs smooth. Lag is a thing of the past

 

Okay, you said that your sli board is set for non-sli mode.

Which x16 slot is it in? Have you tried the other one instead? Same thing?

 

In the manual it says:

"In Normal mode, only the PCI Express blue slot can be used for PCI Express x 16 graphics cards. The PCI Express black slot functions as a PCI Express x 1 slot"

Therefore I used the blue slot
