I have some MS Publication files in PDF format that I want to convert to PDF.
How would I go about this?
I am going blind trying MS help which isn't (helping).
    Thanks,

I'm confused. You have the files in pdf and want to convert them to the format they are already in? Conversion is not needed.
Do you perhaps mean you have pdf files that you want to edit?

I can understand why that seems confusing. Arny careers tend to do that to people.
I need to read what I type.
I want to convert jpg to pdf
    My goof, sorry.

As suggested, you can use a program that is essentially a "virtual printer" and it will convert the JPG file to PDF by "virtually" printing the JPG. Install CutePDFWriter (yeah, the name is kind of lame, but it's free and works great). When you install it, you will be prompted to download something and an active web connection is required; this is OK, let it do its thing. The install will mysteriously just end and a web site will be open with some basic info about CutePDFWriter. To use the newly installed CutePDF Writer program, simply right click whatever it is you want to convert and select "Print" (you can also use the "Print" option from within Word, Excel, or just about anything), then choose "CutePDF Writer" as the printer (see 1st screen shot below; this is from Win7 but it should be somewhat similar for XP, and more-or-less identical in Vista), then you'll be prompted for a "Save As" filename and location (2nd screen shot below). That's it!!! The "Save As" file will be a high-quality PDF! This procedure works great with Word docs or Excel sheets that have to be in PDF format for whatever reason.... I've used CutePDF Writer a bazillion times and never had anything go nutso.

(the 3rd screen shot is what you'll see when trying to "print" or convert to PDF from within "Paint"; a very similar window will be open when using CutePDF Writer from within Word, or Excel)
