I saved a pdf file which is a government form I filled out, taken from their web site.
When I use their submit button I get an error message "During submit process Cannot process content of file text/html"

So I decide to print it and have it faxed.
When I cue print, the window opens showing what will be printed, # of copies, etc., so I cue print or OK

Then a screen comes up which has doPDF at the top left corner

It has what I assume are selections to check:

    Always use this folder
    Embed fonts
    Open PDF in reader
    Small file

All I want to do is either send it or print it, preferably without reformatting files or whatever. I do not want to just check off something and the file goes trucking off to never-never land never to be see again.

Any suggestions as to how I do this?

    Thanks,
    Sarge:banghead

We use doPDF but I've never seen the choices you mention.

scroll down to the 2nd window shown. That's what I normally see.

What is the extension of the file (government form) that is on your computer?

Do you have a pdf reader installed? (Adobe Reader, Foxit or Sumatra are the three most popular)?

While I was going back to look at 2d window, and when I was getting error msg, the form printed. I dunno?!

    But, thanks anyway.

The same logic that tells me to have 2+ browsers, one as a backup to get to the web in emergencies, tells me to have more than one PDF reader. Fact is some readers don't play well with some PDFs due to the way they were constructed. Foxit generally will open PDFs properly that Adobe chokes on. Sumatra is another excellent one to have.

Will have a go at two pdf readers.

I would prefer to use the online system provided. How do I get around or whatever is needed for "During submit process Cannot process content of file text/html"
I found something in MS TS forum, community help but it mad absolutely no sense. So I am still stuck with a form the feds provided on their website I cannot send because something cannot process something.:confused

    Tnx

It could be a problem on that web site and has nothing to do with you. It wouldn't be the first time a government web site did not work correctly.

Depending on how PDF documents (especially forms) are created, not all PDF viewers can competently handle them.

Organizations that put such forms on their websites should really test them with all browsers and PDF viewers.
