PDF to Excel

Hi!
I am new here. This website was recommended by my son who swears that I will find all the answers I need on this website.
Well, here's the challenge question. I have a list of suppliers in PDF format and it is in columns. How do I transfer the information to an excel spreadsheet? When I tried transfering it, the information was all over the spreadsheet and not in any order.
your suggestions would help.

I saw a Freeware Program yesterday in Major Geeks that was said to be capable of transferring from .pdf to several different formats, might check that out?
