I'm having problems with pdf files not opening in internet explorer version 6. When I try to open the file, I get a little box in the upper left with a red X in it. Most times I can right click it and "save as" but with flash sites I'm unable to do this.

I'm running Win XP Service Pack 2 if that helps. I have Adobe Acrobat 6.0 and Reader 7.0.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Open Adobe Acrobat 6.0 (standard) go to Edit > Preferences > Internet. Look in your first option Display PDF in Browser if the box is unchecked, check it, press OK > Close and try the PDF.

Found the solution to the problem.

    1. In Acrobat or Adobe Reader, choose Edit > Preferences > Internet.

    2. Deselect Display PDF in Browser, and then click OK.

Thx for the idea, you were close Matacumbie, just needed to uncheck

Interesting info! I personally hate PDFs integrating within the browser. In the past I've unassociated IE's and other browser's abilities to open within their respective applications.
