Pdigin and Y!M

So as a part of my vacation quest to make my back-up XP computer actually usable again I wiped the two hard drives, repartitioned, and reinstalled everything. It is smooth and neat again. However, Pidgin is not working right, more to the point, it won't connect to my Y!M at all. I know the account work, I can check my email and use the original Yahoo Messenger client, but I would much rather use Pidgin.

Pidgin 2.5.6 if anyone wonders, and my MSN account works just fine. Help?

I just noticed I misspelled "pidgin" in the thread title. If a mod or admin sees this, would you mind correcting that? It won't let me edit, and if I find a solution it's easier for others to find it if the keywords are spelled right. Thanks!

 

2.5.5 installed in Linux shows Yahoo as dropdown.

AHA! Here we go... It's a known issue, according to Pidgin... I'll try their solution and see if it works.
