Peachtree 2006 and Vista?

When I installed Peachtree 2006 on a new Vista HP laptop I get and error opening and the Sage website says 2006 won't work on Vista even thought the Vista upgrade advisor found no issues with doing so.
Going to 2008 would leave a compatability issue with my customer being able top work on older Peachtree databases.
Is there any possible workaround?
Virtual PC maybe? I know nothing about it right now.

PS; backward compatability mode is a no go.

Hi

Sadly the Vista Upgrade Advisor is nto perfect and will not have all software in its database of compatability so its not a great way to assess softwares status in Vista

Yes you could install and run XP in a VirtualPC which would allow you to run Peachtree 2006, or you can dual boot XP and Vista.
