PerfectDisk from Raxco

I found this in my running processes and had no idea what it was. After some research I find out it is a defragging program. I have never heard of perfectdisk nor have I ever downloaded it. Now I'm a little worried that it has popped up on my pc for no reason. I did have a free trial of system mechanic that had a defragging tool in it. I have since uninstalled this program. Could that be the source of pdagent.exe?

 

Also, check add/remove programs for Perfect disc.

 

Like I stated above, I didn't download it, I've never heard of it. I checked add/remove programs....it's not listed in there anywhere yet it is running in task manager. There's no perfectdisk, pdagent, or Raxco anywhere in add/remove programs. So I did a search of my pc for this thing and found the folder containing it. Under properties it says it was created march 2, 2007. I did not have internet at that time. I didn't have internet for two years, it's impossible for it to be downloaded to my pc in march of 2007. I didn't get internet back until may of 2007.

pdagent.exe didn't start showing up in running processes till about a couple months ago. I check running processes every day and keep a list of what's in there and what they are.
