Performance boost guide?

    Do you guys have a performance boost guide for windows xp like you have the malware removal guides? If not, could anybody give me a link to a good one.

    The amount of RAM installed in your machine can also be a big factor in performance.
    For XP, suggested is 1GB, but more is better.

    You can download the Windows XP regular edition - it's free.

    Tweaking Companion

    I recommend that you Disable the Indexing Service.
    Start > Run > services.msc

    From where? When did Microsoft start making Windows XP free?

    By the way, there is no "regular edition". XP comes in Home Edition and Profressional edition.
