Hello, this is my first time here and i expect that you guys can help me with this problem.

    My pc:
2.0 Ghz Intel celeron cpu currently working at 2.66 Ghz
    40 Gb HDD
    1 Gb Ram
128 mb Nvidia Mx4000 video card

It's not the best equipment but thats all i have til i can buy a new one, the problem is that it is too slow i mean i can't even play counter strike 1.6 on it, it should perform at least acceptable but it is way below acceptable and it's getting on my nerves. confused

So, is there any way that i can configure my pc so it can perform better? I'm a college student and i can't afford a new pc right now. Hope you guys try to help me out because it is very frustrating.

    Thank you for your time.

whats goin on with it, just low FPS or is it locking up/freezing/unresponsive at times?

if you're a college student I'm guessing you rely on your computer for quite a bit (so you'd need it to be reliable and not suddenly die, am i right?) so I'd tone down the OC a bit, thats like a 30% OC

welcome to the forums :major :cool
