Perkin's in DuBois, PA

We had a fire last night, school buses redirected, traffic backed up all over the place.. I guess it was crazy.. For a small town, this fire happened right where everyone has to drive.

I don't like Perkin's restaurant, and although they will rebuild, it's a shame to see something go in this fashion. I'm sure it took the jobs of some people, at least for the time being.

The only reason I don't like the place is because a few years ago I went in with a group of friends, and wasn't allowed to stay unless I ordered something. I guess it was more like 12 years ago, I was still in High School. I was upset about it, so I told the waitress to bring me a coke. When she did, I slid it off the table and it spilled all over the place. I asked if she wanted me to order a meal, she said that wouldn't be necessary. LOL

WOW! Thank goodness no one was seriously injured.They are saying it started in the hood, that means someone isn't doing a very good job of cleaning it out or they have been slipping on a regular routine of keeping it clear of soot and grease build up. A lot of fire departments in one area.At least they were quick enough to save the other places. Not here. 4 1/2 miles from my home and it took them almost 45 minutes a few years back. I may be stretching a little rolleyes but no less than a half hour for an accident.
