I have a web page I created with music, it did play on my computer, it plays on other computers, but not on mine any more. My sound card works, I can play music on my computer and music from other websites. I don't get it, very frustrating. I spent hours trying to figure it out.

Don't know if this related but I do have a question mark in my "device manager" on the "other devices/Multimedia Audio Controller". Can't get rid of it, tried reinstalling drivers but not sure what device it is that needs a driver. I have Creative Sound Blaster card and that works. Not sure if this has anything to do with it. I did reinstall drivers for the SB card.

Anyone have any ideas for such a weird problem?

Upload and Everest report, so we can see what that multimedia device might be.

Post a make and model # if your PC is manufactured (Dell, Gateway, HP, etc.) or your motherboard ID, if it is a build.
Use Everest to get a report of your system’s hardware, OS, and drivers. Upload the report as an attachment
    Everest: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4181
When Everest is done scanning, click "Report" at the top of the Everest window, click next to get to "Report Profile", select "Hardware related pages", click next, select "Plain Text", click "Finish". Then when it is done processing, click "Save To File". Save it where you want to. (I would use Desktop.)
Click "Go Advanced" in the MG reply box, scroll down a little way until you see "Manage Attachments", click it, browse to your file, click "Upload", and close the window. Then submit the post. You may have to also type something in the reply box, like, "Here's my report.", so that it will submit.

I missed the audio in "Multimedia Audio Controller".

The multimedia device is your on-board sound.
I'm not sure it will install with your BIOS set for your sound card.
But here it is for future reference:
Analog Devices ADI 198x Integrated Audio

That won't solve your sound problem at your web site though.
It sounds like you may be missing a media player plug-in on your browser.

I thought that maybe it had something to do with the integrated sound...it is that you would think they would have accounted for it so the system would not be showing it as an error.

Have any ideas where I might begin to find whatever my problem is? It is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. With all the other internet and local sounds working...it just not make sense for my sound not to work for this one site. I triple checked it and the sound works on other computers.

Thanks for your help...if you have any good idea, please let me know.

Usually, your on board audio, doesn't show when your sound in BIOS is switched OFF to enable an add-on sound card. It may be that there is no driver installed for it and it is not being recognized as on board sound. In any case, I don't think it's your problem.
If you want to resolve it, you will have to go into your BIOS and enable on board sound.
It should be in Integrated Devices. Set it to ON and save changes on your way out.
Then install the driver I posted. (It is the Dell driver for your PC)
Then you will have to re-enter BIOS and turn your sound back to OFF.
To enter BIOS, restart your PC, as soon as it starts back up, start pressing F2, continue until you see your BIOS screen.

As for your web problem, what media players are supposed to be able to play the music that is on your page? I don't know anything about web design, but is there code that tells the browser what media player plug-in to use?
You need to check your browser to see if it has the plug-in needed.
    What browser are you using?

I think you are correct in regards to the soundcard/integrated sound issue, but I will leave that alone until I get the internet sound resolved.

I am currently using IE 7. This is the code for the songs which are mp3s, <embed src="anysong.mp3" autostart="true" hidden="true" loop="true">. Nothing jumps out at me as to the problem?

I tried web page in mozilla. Says "Additional plug-ins are required to display all the media on this page". When I click the "Install additional plug-ins" I get "No suitable plug-ins found", "Unknown Plugin (application/octet-stream).
