"Pet names or nic names" not animal ones

Do you have a special name , a "pet" name or nic name that you call some one when you see them or talk to them?
What is it and why do you call it?

When I was working the guys called me "weasel" cause I could scurry in and out of places quickly and also could get out of doing jobs I didn't want to do."weasel out of it.

When I worked for the City a Loooonnnngggg Tiiiimmme ago LOL, They called me LU short for Mary LU. Although that's not my name. In High School it was "BONES" cause I was 91 lbs soaking wet and 5'6" tall.

One of my friends was in a terrible motor cycle accident he almost lost his right foot and has to wear a surgical boot, hence his nickname Thumper.
I worked (went) at Fords, and catalogued many of the nicknames there.

I used to work with a guy many moons ago and his name was Gordon Goare, what a name eh! so quite obviously we used to call him GOR GOR :-D

My nic name is "doll".... for some reason since I was a wee lassy, that name always appears on peoples tongues when I they greet me and still to this day. Why? I do not know. :confused LOL

I have lots. People call me Pac, Pax, Pac-Man, Packy, P man.. I like the first two the best, but with a name like Paxton, I like hearing it in full as well.

Mine is really simple its "D" as in the first letter of my first name, all born out of a few friends years ago 20 or so being lasy and we all just refer to each other by initials as in say Julie is "J" etc
