PFN_List_Corrupt Error

Hi Several times in the last few weeks I have gotton a blue screen on boot up with this error being shown
PFN_List_Corrupt Error

I am running XP on a 2000mhz, 768ram

It tells me that it is dumping physical memory and then restarts the

system.

This is the error that the even viewer is detecting
The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during it's internal processing. HRESULT was C0000005 from line 44 of d:\qxp_slp\com\com1x\src\events\tier1\eventsystemobj.cpp.

can someone please advise me as to why this is happening and what I should be doing to correct the problem

It was previously doing it every few days and now it is doing it daily on bootup

I read that before I posted and I am not sure what they mean by
Run hardware diagnostic tools ???
can someone please enlighten me and point me in the right direction

Try googling that.
Also try diagnostic tools from your harddrive manufacturer.And maybe a memory test too.
