Two printers available to Win 8.1 system (64 bit) on a home network; one is wireless, other hardwired via ethernet to router. Devices & Printers shows 2 icons for wireless printer; one icon is the same as the one shown on other computers on this network, the other icon refers to the same printer (HP Officejet Plus 8600), but has unfamiliar printer name. This icon is "greyed-out" and is non-responsive to "remove device" command. Cleaned out all files in ...\spooler\printers, but it still won't go away. This icon did seem to represent this printer before 8.1 upgrade (MS update helping "too much" again). Anyone know where these icons are stored and how they get into Devices & Printers? Uninstalled all printer drivers and purged all references to this device in registry, but it's still there. Don't know where to go next.
