photo backup

I am is search of an app to backup photos from
a basic point and shoot camera.

I have tried a couple without much luck.
(one says 'wrong type disc')




Any ideas?

Are you currently using some photo editing software on your computer to manage photos? Do you want to backup your photos to CD or DVD?

I want to 'back-up' to a DVD. (maybe sometimes a CD too)

I am not using a photo editing program.


I have 'CDBurnerXP' version # 424,
sometimes it works, sometimes not.

Can't seem to sort out why? I'm a missing a basic step?

Do I have to save the photos to my hard drive before
I attempt to burn a DVD?

Picasa 3 has a backup/burn option that seems easy to use.
Might be overkill if you don't like/use it's style of photo management, but I find it a good all-in-one program.

 

I personally use Nero to create DVD back up discs. Last time I burned file images to DVD for the SR2010NX, I ended up with 8 or 9.

Depending on how many photos you have, they may fit on a CD. DVDs hold alot of info...

Yeah I use nero too to backup and data to cd/dvd and photos too. Never used any other program.
