    HI!
    I'm not sure what you mean by a4..if it's 'resize' then IrfanView will do that for you...piece 'o cake!

    You can get rid of the 'grey' by using MS Paint (or any paint program for that matter...I use Ultimate Paint... Graphics | Ultimate Paint LE 2.88 http://majorgeeks.com/Ultimate_Paint_LE_d4000.html ) and simply covering them up with a black brush.
    You can also define the white frame lines in Paint using the line tool.

    That is awesome thank you.

    is there anyway of making it less blurry when i resize it?

    IrfanView has a 'Sharpen' selection. If making the pic bigger...the less definition there will be...that's just how it goes.
    If you want a bigger pic then I would suggest making it the size you want...THEN get rid of the grey and define the white frame lines.
    Then sharpen it in Irfanview.
    Smaller usually works out just fine if you simply use the 'Sharpen' selection.
